TAC = Team Around the Client + Access. Yes, we know it’s an acronym, but it does describe perfectly the service that we offer. Everything we do is based on providing instant access to the best support for children and young people, precisely when they need it the most.
-
Sessions can take place either online or face to face. Our extensive data tells us that over 75% of searches are for both. If the session is face-to-face this is in a safe area approved by the commissioner, such as a school, part of the educational establishment, a social care setting or the professional’s premises.
-
An educational establishment is any provision registered with a DFE number and therefore regulated.
-
You can apply to be registered as a commissioner with TACaccess through a quick online application process. Once approved, you have unlimited access to our UK wide directory, allowing you to filter, review and select from an extensive range of therapists.
-
This depends on the qualifications and experience of the therapist meeting each client’s needs. Commissioners can filter and select therapists, with relevant costs displayed in each therapist’s profile. Payment can be made through a client, their parents, carers, social care, health or educational establishment. The big difference with TACaccess is that there are no agency fees and all payments go direct to the therapist.

At TACaccess, we are proud of the due diligence we carry out before approving therapists for our directory. These include:
Membership of a governed organisation recognised by the PSA or HCPC. Please note that to be a member of such an organisation, therapists must meet high standards set by the organisation, which include (but are not limited to) the level of qualification(s), insurance and abide by the ethical framework.
Criminal Records Check E.g. Enhanced DBS, appropriate to workforce;
Identity check.
Please note: You must ensure that you meet your organisation's standards when engaging with a therapist.
-
Depending on your organisation, there may be additional checks therapists need to complete E.g. references, safeguarding training for your organisation.
In these circumstances, you can collate a 'favourites' list and ensure your organisational settings only allow therapists from this preferred supplier list to be contacted.
You can also collate a 'Favourites List' and send that list to e.g. a parent / young person to choose a therapist from, rather than the wider directory.
-
A person between the ages of 18 to 25 years looking for a therapist to support them.
-
All users can sign up and use the platform without any commitment or recurring subscription charge.
The platform is funded by a small transaction fee of 6% levied against therapist charges for courses arranged through the platform. These are included within the agreed course fee and so what is agreed by the course commissioner, parent or young adult is what is paid.
-
Yes. At TACaccess, safeguarding is our number one priority. We can arrange DBS checks (including enhanced). We encourage all providers using our platform to subscribe to the online update service.
